Mountain Teide seen from the distance. Teide is a volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands and the same time the is the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic, 3718 m above the sea level. Access to the summit itself is restricted (a free permit is required). Only 200 people per day are allowed to climb last 200 m and reach the top of the mountain.
